Everything techs ask before joining.
Straight answers, no fine print. If it’s not here, ask us during onboarding.
How does pay work?
One flat rate per vehicle type — sedan, mid-size SUV, large SUV & truck. Exact rates are on your dashboard. Add-ons you sell pay you 75% of the ticket, fixed 75/25 split.
When do I get paid?
Your JustWallet tracks earned and pending payouts. After a 48hr hold period, funds hit your wallet and are paid to you weekly via ACH or check, through Gusto, our payroll partner. No minimum balance.
Am I an employee?
No — you're an independent contractor (1099). W-9 and tax documents are handled through Gusto, our payroll partner, during payout onboarding.
Do I need my own equipment?
No — we provide a free starter kit with all the equipment and supplies you need to get started, over $100 in value. You're responsible for replenishing supplies over time, and you provide supplies for any add-ons you offer (like tire shine or bug removal spray).
What training do you provide?
We don't train our techs but we do offer optional recommended guidance that maximizes wash quality and minimizes wash time. This is available during the onboarding process.
Can I do this part-time?
Yes — no tiers, no minimums, no acceptance score. Weekend mornings, a few set days, or a full route: washes book only inside the availability you open.
What areas do you cover?
Metro Atlanta, neighborhood by neighborhood. You'll see live coverage for your streets inside the app when you join.
Is there a background check?
Yes — a standard check runs during onboarding, before you go live. We pay for it, and status shows in the app.
Am I required to wash a specific way?
No. As long as you provide the customers with their desired outcome - low water rinseless wash that doesn't create runoff or damage the car, you can wash however you want. But we recommend you follow our best practices to ensure quality and compliance with environmental standards.
